Predisposal (c. 2000 - )Radioactive waste |

Predisposal. Any waste management steps carried out prior to disposal, such as pretreatment, treatment, conditioning, storage and transport activities. Decommissioning is condsidered to be a part of predisposal management of radioactive waste. Predisposal is used as a contraction of 'predisposal radioactive waste management', not a form of disposal. (Coincidentally, however, the predisposal process could also be said to predispose waste towards safe disposal). | ||
